To some 250 NYSC members currently serving in areas
currently submerged by flood in Anambra State, under the sun or in the rain
even inside flood, they are ready to serve their fatherland.
In a rare show of patriotism, they have refused re-posting
out of areas currently submerged by flood in the state.
The state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Inyang Bassey Ekpe, said:
"I have never seen such patriotism in my life."
The corps members had been evacuated to a refugee camp but
opted to stay with the people until the flood receded, stressing that the
people were good to them such that they could not leave the villagers now.
How would you describe these corpers show of love to their fatherland? Awesome, you will say.
