Coach Stephen Keshi will be offered a new contract by
Nigeria despite failing to qualify the country for next year’s Africa Cup of
Nations, AFCON, according to officials.
There have been calls for Keshi to be replaced as the Super
Eagles, just as Samson Siasia was three years ago when he failed to lead the
team to the 2012 AFCON. Nigerians are calling for the resignation of Keshi
following his failure to qualify Nigeria for next year’s AFCON defence of the
title he won in 2013. But the Edo born coach still wants to remain as coach.
