Nelson Mandela laid to rest in a blaze of glory: Goodbye Tata. Sleep well

Anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela ached to come home as his remains were laid to rest in his childhood village yesterday, Sunday, 15 December 2013 in a blaze of glory.

Funeral and burial ended 10 days of mourning for South Africa's first black president as more than 4,000 people gathered at Mandela's funeral service in a tent in the Qunu hills. According to his family, they believed his spirit was now at home.

The funeral was a final chance for those who knew him best to say goodbye.
Mandela's daughter Maki said her father had always been a country boy at heart, and wanted to return to his remote farm in the Eastern Cape, one of South Africa's most rural areas.

"Even when my father was in jail, he had the fondest memories of Qunu," she said. "And he really wanted to die here."

Obasanjo Bombs Jonathan’s fallout: Presidency replies…Says Obasanjo is Indecent, Spineless Coward

*Warns APC To Be Ready To Pay Price Of Treason

Few days after President Goodluck Jonathan barred his aides and government officials from responding to President Olusegun Obasanjo’s sensational letter about the failures and compromises of his administration, the presidency on Sunday called the former leader greedy and indecent, challenging him to provide proof of his allegation that Jonathan is training snipers, or rather shut up and be remembered as a spineless coward.

In a press statement issued by spokesman Reuben Abati, the presidency came out swinging against the call of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the National Assembly to impeach Mr. Jonathan, and took Obasanjo on with reference to some of the most explosive elements in the letter.
