Simply Saka “PORTS” From Etisalat To MTN

The Number Portability launched by the NCC yesterday must have gotten its first casualty if the current advert being run by Telecom giant, MTN, is anything to go by.

 Ace comedian, Hafeez Ayetoro, a.k.a, Simply Saka who has become the face of Etisalat might have switched network from the GSM company he was known with. It will be recalled that Hafeez’s face became a part of Etisalat branding for some years.

In the new advert being run by MTN to showcase the launch of Number portability, a scheme which allows subscribers to move from one network to the other while still retaining the old number, the University lecturer, is seen as porting to MTN while dancing around, but something happened just at the mid point of the TVC.  

While he was initially backing the camera, colour of Saka’s attire which was green, apparently, Etisalat’s colour, suddenly changed to yellow, MTN’s colour by the time he faced the camera.

Apparently, while this signified that he has changed his allegiance from Etisalat to MTN, Saka is seen singing “I DON PORT O!!!” while asking everyone to join. 

But with millions of MTN's subscribers still groaning with bad quality of service, WOULD YOU PORT TO MTN?
