Man lands in court for defacing Jimi Agbaje’s posters in Lagos

 A 29-year-old man, Fisayo Olomojobi, who allegedly defaced posters of the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje, was on Wednesday charged before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates' Court.

The accused, who lives at No. 2, Amen St., off Abule-Oja, Yaba, is being tried on a three-count charge of conspiracy, breach of peace and unlawful damage.


The Prosecutor, Cpl. Iyobosa Onaiwu, told the court that the offences were committed sometime this month at Osborn Road, Ikoyi.

Onaiwu alleged that the accused and another also standing trial were found defacing some posters belonging to Agbaje.

The offences contravened Sections 166(d), 337 and 410 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Olomojobi, however, pleaded guilty to the charges.

In his ruling, the Magistrate, Mr F.J. Adefioye, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.

He said the surety must either be an elder or traditional head of a community.

The case has been adjourned to April 20 for mention.
