Ahead of Saturday's presidential election, some members of
professional groups, who are Nigerians in Canada, have lent their weight behind
the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Nigerians in Diaspora appealed to Nigerians at home to
vote for Jonathan because, according to them, the president had done well
enough to earn a second term.
No fewer than 50 Nigerian professionals who are medical
doctors, engineers, economists, educators, captains of industries, legal luminaries,
and policy analysts met in Toronto, Ontario and endorsed Jonathan for another
four years.
They promised to support the president, after his victory in
Saturday’s elections, in the creation of two million jobs in the mortgage
sector in Nigeria.
