Vice President Namadi Sambo said in Kano on Thursday that
shifting the general elections was a blessing to Nigerians.
Sambo, who spoke with newsmen, explained that holding it as
earlier scheduled would have prevented 23 million eligible voters from
exercising their civic responsibility.
``We thank God that the postponement of the elections has
been a blessing to Nigerians.
