Taraba: Nigerians' hope of having first elected female governor suffers setback as INEC declares election inconclusive

While there are apprehension and confusion among Nigerians as they anxiously await the official result of Taraba state governorship poll from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, they might have to wait a bit longer as the state returning officer for governorship election Prof. Muhamdu Kyari has declared the governorship election in Taraba as inconclusive.

The returning officer made the declaration in Jalingo Taraba state capital after collating the result from sixteen out of the seventeen local government areas in Taraba state.

He said the reason for the declaration was because the number of canceled votes was above the gap between APC who came second in the election to PDP who came first.

Atiku shames Fani-Kayode, as he makes first appearance at Buhari rally

For the first time since the All Progressives Congress (APC) began its presidential campaign rallies, Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president and ex-presidential aspirant of the party, has made his first appearance at the APC presidential campaign rally in order to lend support to Muhammadu Buhari, the man who won the presidential ticket he coveted.

It would be recalled that in one of his press conferences he held recently, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Director of Media and Publicity of Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode had observed that most of the former APC presidential aspirants had not been attending Buhari’s campaign rally, an indication he said, showed Buhari had been abandoned to his fate.
