Adams, Fasheun: Change of government cannot affect our contract
The leader of Odua People’s Congress, OPC, Otunba Gani Adams has said that the expected change of government by May 29 cannot affect the N4bn pipeline contract N4bn pipeline contract awarded to the group by the outgoing Jonathan administration.

Speaking while describing the victory of Gen. Mohammadu Buhari at the polls as the will of God, Adams said, “On the issue of the contract, we are all Nigerians and we fought for it. I am not an opportunist, we fought for it and we are entitled to that contract and I know Gen. Buhari knows the right thing to do at the right time.”

Buhari vows to stop naira’s free fall

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari has pledged to stabilise the exchange rate to boost the nation’s economy if voted into power.

Speaking at a Town Hall meeting with artisans and tradesmen held at the Lagos Television Ground in Ikeja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, on Thursday, Buhari said the devaluation of the naira had greatly affected business activities in the country.

“We will stabilise the exchange rate so that entrepreneurs will have cheaper operating cost. This will afford them the opportunity to purchase raw material for their business easily. We will ensure that they have the ability to build factory, employ youths and others. This is common sense.

Fayose’s blackmail can’t stop Buhari –APC

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has said Governor Ayodele Fayose’s alleged blackmail of its candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) cannot stop him from winning the presidential election.

It said the governor’s criticism of Buhari, was driven by self-preservation over the governor’s past misdeeds and not in the national interest.

According to the party, the governor is fighting the battle of his life that runs contrary to the general mood of the nation.

Why men stop over at beer parlours, gardens before going home

Some men in Abuja have given some reasons why they prefer to stop over at drinking joints before going home.

Many of them, who spoke in an interview, noted that they did that to avoid unnecessary squabbles with their wives.

They also said disturbances from their children contributed to making them stay late night at drinking joints.
