Hundreds of women of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara
State on Wednesday protested against the attack on the convoy of Mr. Aishat
Buhari, the wife of the APC presidential candidate. Maj. Gen. Muhammadu
Buhari(retd.).
They also protested against the alleged attacks on some
other women in the state.
Carrying various placards with different inscriptions,
condemning the attacks and violence against women, the women, who were led by
their leader, Mrs. Sarat Adebayo, matched from the APC State Secretariat at
Government Reservation Area, Ilorin, to the
headquarters of the Nigerian Police, Kwara State Command.
The female protesters were received by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr.
Polycarp Kpai.
