Nearly a week after two female suicide bombers attacked the
popular Monday market in Maiduguri, Borno
State capital, where several people were killed, another two female suicide
bombers on Monday were reported to have unleashed terror attack on the same
market.
Not fewer than ten people were feared dead as two explosions
ripped through the market, according to witnesses.
It was learnt that the two female bombers who carried the
explosives in the back of their hijab dress, arrived a hair braiding salon and
blew themselves up as a female civilian-JTF operatives made to search them.
“A middle-aged woman approached the site where chicken
sellers attend to customers but vigilantes who stood nearby insisted on
checking the luggage she was carrying,” said witness Ahmad Sanusi.
