Enugu Governor set to be impeached

Barely three weeks to the end of his tenure, the Enugu State House of Assembly is set to impeach the out-going Governor of the state, Barrister Sullivan Chime.

Sixteen members of the Enugu State House of Assembly have served the out-going Governor Impeachment notice.

The sixteen out of the 24 members of the House on Monday morning served the governor the impeachment notice alleging gross misconduct.

At last, EFCC declares ex-Adamawa Governor, Murtala Nyako, son, wanted


 A former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, has been declared wanted by the anti- graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC].

Also wanted by the EFCC is the son of the ex-governor, Abdul Aziz Murtala Nyako, a retired Naval officer.

Soludo, embittered, worst CBN governor in search of relevance, says Okonjo-Iweala

For daring to score President Goodluck Jonathan’s economic policies very low, Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has described the former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Professor Charles Soludo as embittered loser who is in search of power and relevance.

It would be recalled that Soludo in his submission titled: “Buhari Vs Jonathan: Beyond the Election” told President Goodluck Jonathan not to campaign on his six years record in office as he had failed Nigerians particularly in the management of the economy.

PDP will capture 30 states in 2015, Akpabio vows

Governor Goodswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State boasted in Abuja on Tuesday that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would win at least 30 of the 36 states in the country in 2015.

Akpabio, dismissing the opposition as being bereft of plans for Nigeria, accused some of them of sponsoring instability in the country.

The PDP Forum's Chair declared,  “All those who want to make Nigeria ungovernable will not succeed. We will not hand over power to them because they have no agenda …Our target for 2015 is 29 State Governors, Abia (Governor) what did you just say (Abia Governor, its 30) States, Ok its 30 States.”

Presently, the PDP is having 21 governors while APC has 14 and APGA with one governor.

Florence Ajimobi’s Alleged Arrest in UK causes stir in Oyo government House, as London Met Police confirms arrest

There has been palpable anxiety in the government circles of Nigeria’s Oyo State over the alleged arrest of Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the governor, in the United Kingdom for alleged money laundering.


She was allegedly found to be in possession of 400,000 pounds and thousands of dollars, with a combined value of N500 million.

While reports on the web and some blogs claimed that the woman was arrested two weeks ago by the London Metropolitan Police on her 52nd trip to the UK since her husband became governor 17 months ago, as at the time of filling this report, London Metropolitan Police confirmed her arrest over the money laundering issue this afternoon following an enquiry by P.M.NEWS.
