Agbaje urges Lagosians to ignore online results, insists he has not lost
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has urged his supporters to disregard the figures being circulated online.
Agbaje said on his Facebook page that he was still hopeful of victory, adding that they should wait for the official figures from the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He said, “I want to assure you that we are currently monitoring the vote counting process so please do not believe the various unofficial numbers that are being shared across the Internet .
“An official announcement will be made at the appropriate time when all numbers are in. Continue to remain resolute. Thank you for your continued support. “
Though INEC is yet to announce the final results of the Lagos state gubernatorial election, results have continued to awash social networks indicating that the All Progressive Congress candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode is in clear lead in most of the local governments.

Shell denies shutting down operations over presidential polls result
The Management of Shell Petroleum Development Company of
Nigeria (SPDC) has denied reports that it shut down its flow stations in
Bayelsa owing to fears of attack by aggrieved militants.
The SPDC's spokesperson, Mr Joseph Obari, told News Agency
of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday that the operations of the oil firm were running but
declined further details.
``Our operations are continuing and we will not comment on
security issues.”
The reports had alleged that the oil firm acted to forestall
attacks by militants aggrieved by Jonathan’s loss in the March 28, 2015 presidential
polls.

Dr Ihekwaba Chukwugoziem, Returning Officer for Abia North
Senatorial District in the March 28 National Assembly elections, has
disassociated himself from results
emanating from the election.
Chukwugoziem said in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia on
Friday, that he could not announce the results because of ''irregularities and
massive fraud.''
He claimed that the irregularities and fraud were
perpetrated in all the five local government areas of the constituency
comprised of Ohafia, Arochukwu, Bende, Isuikwuato and Umunneochi.

Presidential election result will be ready in 48 hours, says Jega
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission,
Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Friday expressed the confidence that the result of
Saturday’s presidential election will be ready within 48 hours.
Jega gave the assurance at a joint press conference he
addressed with the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps,
Brigadier General Johnson Olawumi, in Abuja.
The INEC chairman expressed further confidence that in the
states, INEC would be able to get full result within 24 hours.
The Peoples Democratic Party, the All Progressives Congress
and 12 other political parties are fielding candidates for the election.

APC plans to announce fake election result –PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign
Organisation alleged on Friday that the All Progressives Congress was planning
to announce fake presidential election results after the poll next week on
Radio Chanji.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the campaign
organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, who made the allegation at a news
conference in Abuja, said available facts before the Federal Government
indicated that the APC had a strong link with the broadcasting station.
Fani-Kayode further alleged that the APC would use the radio
station being operated from outside Nigeria, to spread dangerous propaganda to
cause chaos after the presidential poll next Saturday.

The Chairman of Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof
Attahiru Jega has come out to clear the air on the controversy surrounding the statement
credited to the Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba,
warning voters to go back to their homes after casting their votes on election
days.
Speaking on a national television station’s programme
monitored by The Mega StarNews this morning
(Friday), Prof Jega stated categorically that contrary to the IGP purported order, voters who wish to know the
results of their polling booth could wait to do so.
