Photo Scandal: The man isn’t my father, but…. says Osinbajo

Vice Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has cleared the air on an alleged photograph of his father, which went viral recently.

Osinbajo stated on his Twitter handle that the photograph was taken during a campaign tour in Yewa last week.

He explained in another tweet, “He isn’t my father, brother uncle or blood relative. But. He is a Nigerian father. He deserves our respect.

“We need to change a govt. that has impoverished our people by grand corruption and misgovernance.

From mass employment, mass low cost housing, conditional cash transfer to the extremely poor. Never before, in the history of this country, has a govt. been this corrupt.” He said.

When the picture first surfaced on the social media, it was alleged that Prof Osinbajo had taken the media back to his childhood village and home in Ogun state where the photo above was captured by an APC cameraman.

While the photo had remained controversial, it was alleged that the PDP had wanted to score a political point by saying whether brother or father, why is the man living in such a condition?
Below is what they posted on a Pro-Jonathan Facebook page, Hope for Nigeria;

"What is the difference between someone's father and his brother, that Yemi Osibanjo will neglect them, even when he has been blessed by God as a Pastor, senior partner at SimmonsCooper Partners, a Professor, 8 years as Tinubu's Attorney General, director in Bola Tinubu's Alpha Beta Limited. How can you manage a country, when you can't take care of your relatives?"
