Maku denies accusing President Jonathan of sponsoring Boko Haram

Former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku on Tuesday in Abuja, denied reports making the rounds in the media that he accused President Jonathan of being the sponsor of Boko Haram.

Maku, who addressed newsmen, said the reports were false and an attempt to discredit Jonathan by using his ardent supporters to make the falsehood look believable.

He said that his campaign organisation had long refuted the publication.

I dump PDP for APGA because nobody listened to my petition, says Maku

Former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, said he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ``because of the high level of injustice done to me at the party primaries.’’

Maku, now the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Nasarawa State, made this explanation in a statement released in Lafia on Wednesday.

Guber ticket: Labour Party denies granting waiver to Maku

The Labour Party (LP) has said that it had not granted waiver to the immediate past Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, to get its Nasarawa governorship ticket for the 2015 elections.

The LP National Secretary, Kayode Ajulo, made the statement in Lagos while responding to questions from journalists.

"Going by the primary conducted by our party in Nasarawa State, Hajia Aisha Mbaka, a woman who falls into the category of those exempted by the party from paying any nomination or expression of intent fees, emerged, being the sole aspirant.

Maku calls for cancellation of Nasarawa PDP gubernatorial primary election

Just like some of his former minister-colleagues who lost out in the just concluded PDP governorship primaries elections, former Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, has called on PDP leadership to cancel the governorship primary election in Nasarawa State due to alleged irregularities.

Maku’s call is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the Director of Publicity, Maku Campaign Organisation, Mr Zakari Edege.
