FRSC plans nationwide drivers’ licence verification

The Deputy Corp Marshal, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr Charles Theophilus, has said that the commission has concluded plans to conduct drivers’ licence verification nationwide.

Theophilus made this known at a one day capacity building programme organised for the South-East FRSC staff in the driver’s licence centre in Enugu.

``We will commence verification of licence very soon to see if the licence obtained is actually produced by the FRSC, Vehicle Inspection Office and Board of Internal Revenue.

FRSC deploys officers, vehicles for APC National Convention in Lagos


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Tuesday said that it would deploy over 100 officers and 15 patrol vehicles for APC National Convention in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the convention is slated for Wednesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Mr Hyginus Omeje, the Lagos Sector Commander of the corps, told NAN, that machinery had been put in place to ensure free of vehicular movement in the state.

Yuletide: FRSC to deploy more logistics for road safety

The Federal Road Safety Commission, (FRSC) has said that the agency would deploy more logistic support to ensure safety on the nation’s roads during the yuletide.

Corps Commander Stella Uchegbu, Public Education Officer, FRSC said this on Friday during an interview with newsmen in Abuja.

She said the logistic support would be used to complement efforts of the FRSC personnel during the period.

Old Number Plates, Driver’s Licence to expire Sept 31 – FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) said on Wednesday that the old number plates and the old driver’s licence would expire by Sept. 31

The Sector Commander of the commission in Plateau, Mr Sunday Maku, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos.

Maku said that officers and men of the commission would commence enforcement by Oct. 1.
