Mu’azu should follow British Labour Party leader’s example — Fayose



Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has justified his call for the resignation of Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu ,the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party ,saying Mu’azu should borrow a leaf from the resignation of British Labour Party leader, Ed Miliband and Liberal Democrats leader, Nick Clegg over their parties defeat at the poll.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka,in Ado Ekiti yesterday,Fayose said his position is premised on the issue on ground and that he had no personal score to settle with the PDP National Chairman. 

“It is morally wrong for the National Chairman to remain in office after leading the party into its first national electoral loss.”

Woman leader blames improper dressing for rising rate of rape

The President of Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria (CWO), Mrs Ngozi Chukwuji, has identified improper dressing among women as the reason for the increase in cases of rape.

Speaking in an interview, she noted that cloths that expose sensitive areas of the female body provoke sexual urge.

Chukwuji urged mothers to monitor their young girls’mode of dressing, even while going to school, as this would discourage sexual provocation.

Daniel remains our leader in Ogun PDP, says Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun has denied that the former Ogun Governor, Gbenga Daniel, was planning to defect to another party.

The State Chairman of the party, Mr Adebayo Dayo, stated this at the inauguration of a 35-member gubernatorial campaign committee in Abeokuta.

He said Daniel remained the leader of the party in the state and that he was determined to work for the success of the party at the polls.

Blame mass failure in November/ December examination on students poor reading habit, says Woman leader

A woman leader, Mrs Francisca Obasuyi, has identified poor reading habit among students as the major factor responsible for mass failure in the last November/December external examinations.

Obasuyi, former President of the Catholic Women Organisation, Ijegun branch, Lagos State, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the advent of computers, phones and internet had distracted the children from studies.

`` The problem is that they don’t have the habit of reading, unlike those days when our parents bought story books for us.
